Tragic details—mom-of-two killed in Super Bowl parade shooting

Even though football fans had reason to celebrate last weekend at the Super Bowl, several Kansas City families lost loved ones in the game.

With famous faces like Reba McEntire, Blake Lively, and Taylor Swift in attendance, the Chiefs of Missouri emerged victorious in a thrilling matchup with the 49ers of San Francisco.

Following a horrific shooting that killed one lady and wounded at least twenty others, most of them children, the parade that locals in Kansas City had planned to commemorate the historic event came crumbling down, according to CNN.

Tragically, a twist occurred during the Super Bowl parade for the Kansas City Chiefs, which left the town grieving. The occasion became a day of grieving after the terrible murder of local DJ Lisa Lopez-Galvan, a cherished mother of two and a football aficionado.

According to Sky News, Lopez-Galvan was wounded in the abdomen at the conclusion of the Chiefs’ parade festivities. She unfortunately passed away after having surgery, which left her close-knit community devastated.

Lopez-Galvan was a well-known DJ on KKFI 90.1 FM, where she hosted the hit program “A Taste of Tejano,” because to her energetic personality and dedication to music. “We regret to inform our community of the passing of KKFI DJ Lisa Lopez, host of ‘Taste of Tejano,’ who tragically lost her life today in the shooting at the KC Chiefs’ rally,” said a Facebook post from KKFI 90.1 FM.

The mayor of Kansas City, Quinton Lucas, expressed his profound sadness at the tragedy and stressed that the violence was indiscriminate, destroying the town’s exuberant celebration.

According to CNN, two individuals have been taken into custody for questioning while the investigation into the incident continues.

The source said that the police are of the opinion that a quarrel between many individuals may have been the catalyst for the shooting.

Thirty people were sent to four different hospitals after the incident, with 19 of those people sustaining gunshot wounds. Eleven children, ranging in age from six to fifteen, were admitted to Children’s Mercy hospital from that group; nine of these youngsters had sustained gunshot wounds.
